I'm giving myself a rest from my redesign series, but still continue to make some Megaman art. This time, the three navigators from the Megaman X series.

In the middle is Alia, who has been the navigator for the Maverick Hunters since Megaman X5. She began her career as a researcher in reploid engineering. A very talented researcher, she soon mastered all programming languages and was chosen on these merits to be a navigator for the Maverick Hunters. Even so, I have to say that in X5 she usually came up with her hints at inconvenient times, interrupting the action, which is annoying for us veteran players. In X8, it's possible to unlock her (and the other two as well) as a playable character, she has the same gameplay of X: she has the same moves of X, and she uses a buster cannon and the same special weapons of X, although for obvious reasons she cannot use his Neutral Armor parts.

The purple haired girl on the right is Layer. She was introduced in X8. She feels an attraction for Zero, but he is apparently oblivious to this. Her speciality are boss strategies, and can give the player hints on to how to defeat them. As a playable character, she is Zero's female counterpart, and can pretty much do everything he can by using a rapier, which oddly enough has the same power and reach of Zero's Z-Saber.

And finally, the little one on the left is Pallette. Just as Layer, she was introduced in X8. She can help in finding Dr. Light's Capsules (which contain the Neutral Armor parts for X) and rare metals in the stages. She also runs things in the R&D lab by making items for X, Zero and Axl out of the metals they find along the way. As a playable character, she is Axl's female counterpart, although she can't use the Copy Shot since she's not a new generation reploid. You know what? That pistol she carries looks a lot like a toy pistol I had when I was a kid.

Me estoy tomando un descanso de mi serie de rediseños, pero aún sigo haciendo arte de Megaman. Esta vez, las tres navegadoras de la serie de Megaman X.

En el medio está Alia, quien ha sido navegadora para los Maverick Hunters desde Megaman X5. Empezó su carrera como investigadora en ingenieria reploid. Una investigadora muy talentosa, que pronto dominó toda clase de lenguajes programación y por estos meritos fue elegida para ser la navegadora de los Maverick Hunters. Aún así, debo decir que en el X5 a menudo sale con sus consejos en malos momentos, interrumpiendo la accion, cosa que es molesta para nosotros los veteranos. En el X8, es posible desbloquearla (asi como a las otras dos) como personaje controlable, tiene el mismo modo de juego que X: sus mismos movimientos, y usa un buster y los mismos ataques especiales que X, aunque por razones obvias no puede usar las partes de su Neutral Armor.

La chica de pelo púrpura a la derecha es Layer. Apareció por primera vez en el X8. Siente una atracción hacia Zero, aunque él aparentemente no lo nota. Su especialidad son las estrategias con los jefes, y da buenas pistas sobre como vencerlos. Como personaje controlable, es la contraparte femenina de Zero, y puede hacer prácticamente todo lo que él hace con su estoque, que extrañamente tiene el mismo poder y alcance que el sable de Zero.

Y finalmente, la pequeña a la izquierda es Pallette. Igual que Layer, apareció en el X8. Ella ayuda a encontrar las cásulas del Dr. Light (que contienen las partes de la Neutral Armor para X) y Metales Raros en los niveles. También se hace cargo de las cosas en el laboratorio R&D haciendo items para X, Zero y Axl a partir de los metales que obtienen por el camino. Como personaje controlable, ella es la contraparte femenina de Axl, aunque no puede usar el Copy Shot ya que no es una reploid de nueva generación. Saben qué? Esa pistola que trae se parece mucho a una de juguete que yo tenía cuando era chico.
